Prefeitura de Arcoverde inaugura brinquedoteca para combater o trabalho infantil
Um novo caminho se abriu para crianças do Centro Comercial de Arcoverde (Cecora), uma central de abastecimento e comércio da cidade, com o inauguração da Brinquedoteca Passos do Futuro. O espaço conta brinquedos, livros e computadores e tem como principal objetivo combater o trabalho infantil, oferecendo atividades lúdicas e educacionais para o desenvolvimento dos pequenos. A brinquedoteca, inaugurada nesta quarta-feira (11), pela prefeita Madalena Brito, vai beneficiar diretamente 40 crianças de quatro a 12 anos, filhos de comerciantes e permissionários do Cocora.
Muitas dessas crianças acompanham os pais no comércio do local, mas ficavam ociosas ou ajudavam no serviço, acabando muitas vezes realizando o trabalho infantil. Com a brinquedoteca, elas contam com um espaço adequado para desenvolverem atividades educativas.
A prefeita Madalena Brito lembrou que o equipamento é um sonho antigo da comunidade. “Este projeto foi pensado nas nossas crianças, enquanto os pais trabalham, elas desenvolvem atividades, evitando o trabalho infantil”, destacou.
Madalena Brito aproveitou para lembrar algumas das diversas obras e ações realizadas durante a sua gestão, como os investimentos em educação, saúde, iluminação e construção de novas praças. “Nesta quinta-feira, vamos inaugurar um Centro Oftalmológico, foram muitas obras. Por isso, eu estou encerrando a minha gestão de cabeça erguida, com a sensação de dever cumprido”, completou.
Além da prefeita de Arcoverde, participaram da inauguração da Brinquedoteca Primeiros Passos, secretários municipais, representantes do comerciantes, do Conselho Municipal dos Direitos da Criança e do Adolescente e do Cecora.
