Medo do Novo Corona Vírus pode causar transtornos psicológicos
Manter-se sereno dentro do turbilhão de informações e emoções que envolvem a pandemia do novo coronavírus está sendo um desafio intenso para a população mundial. Ficar isolado do convívio social por prazo indeterminado enquanto as informações chegam ao redor como uma avalanche – a maioria delas negativas, diga-se de passagem – está mexendo com as estruturas psicológicas de muita gente. É por isso que especialistas estão alertando para as consequências graves à saúde que o momento impõe, independentemente de contrair ou não o novo coronavírus.
Segundo o filósofo, psicanalista e especialista em estudos da mente humana Fabiano de Abreu, “o pânico cria realidades alternativas que dificultam a racionalidade e, embora não estejamos por enquanto a viver uma situação de pânico generalizado, essa situação pode vir a acontecer. Tal cenário pode resultar em efeitos adversos tanto num modo global quanto de um modo muito pessoal”.
Ele aponta que o cenário atual pode ser, por exemplo, um gatilho para desencadear transtornos importantes. “Por essa razão, a síndrome do pânico será uma doença que irá afetar muitas pessoas dada a realidade atual. A ideia de isolamento causa transtorno e mais ainda se nós depararmos com a incerteza de quando terminará.”
Crises de choro, de pânico, taquicardia, dor de barriga, calafrios… São muitos os sinais que o corpo dá como resposta ao estresse. E são muitos os relatos atuais de pessoas que estão vivendo esses sintomas. A psicóloga Nathalia Millet explica que para considerar tais reações como transtornos elas têm que se repetir e afetar o sujeito de forma que ele não tenha vida normal. “Quando você escuta o nome do que afeta, você fica angustiado, os pensamentos não param, principalmente os catastróficos, e você começa a passar mal, sem conseguir controlar, tem algo errado aí. Mas quando você vê, escuta, pensa e quando mudam de assunto você fica bem, não te afeta, então está tudo certo”, diz ela, listando os tipos de transtornos que a não administração de um estresse desse nível pode acarretar. “Transtornos de ansiedade, estresse pós-traumático, depressão, transtorno obsessivo compulsivo, transtorno do pânico, fobias sociais…”, elenca.
A forma como cada um responderá perante esta situação está relacionada com a personalidade e percurso de vida como nos explica Fabiano. “Cada um tem o comportamento reflexivo de acordo com a sua personalidade, resultado da sua história de vida, experiências e nuances psicológicas. Existirão pessoas que quando confrontadas com algo alarmante o seu nível de fobia e pânico é tal que chegam mesmo a experienciar sintomas físicos de doenças. Pessoas que tendem a ficar com náuseas mesmo sem chegar ao vômito, que sentem dormência nos membros, dificuldade de locomoção, formigueiro, entre outras. Convém relembrar que mesmo que os sintomas não estejam relacionados com uma doença mais séria e concreta eles estão de facto a acontecer naquele indivíduo. É o pânico a tomar conta dele, a ganhar terreno à racionalidade. Já estou a receber inúmeros casos de pessoas que chegaram a desmaiar nesta semana.”
O Centro de Valorização à Vida (CVV) também já registra aumento na procura por auxílio relacionado ao tema. Segundo o voluntário Roberto Maia, das dez ligações recebidas por ele em seu último plantão, nove citaram temores pelo coronavírus. Os voluntários, mais de quatro mil em todo o País, receberam instruções para enfrentar esse momento. No Recife, são cerca de 70 pessoas que se revezam em turnos de cinco horas para atender as ligações. Quem precisar do auxílio, pode discar o número 188, gratuito em telefones fixos e móveis.
Para ajudar a manter o equilíbrio, Nathalia indica preencher o dia com atividades. “O ideal seria fazer uma rotina diária, pegar uma folhinha anotar de segunda a sexta, manhã, tarde e noite. E desenvolver atividades diárias, leituras leves, arrumar a casa, o guarda-roupa, assistir séries, filmes, se tiver crianças e adolescentes em casa fazer atividades lúdicas com eles e colocá-los para ajudar em casa também. E não esquecer de colocar estudos para eles também. Trabalhos manuais também ajudam.” Ela faz um alerta ainda para o volume constante de notícias, o que pode ser prejudicial se não houver um filtro. A questão das redes sociais está muito complicada, a quantidade de fake news são absurdas. Então, se quer ter notícias, pesquisa fontes seguras, de jornais e revistas sérias, blogs e Instagrams também. Não se deixa influenciar pelos grupos e pelo desespero e angústia do outro. Vejo as redes sociais como um excelente meio de ajuda, mas as pessoas que usam precisam ter uma maturidade e um bom senso”, ressalta.
