Maior torneio de robótica para estudantes iniciou sua etapa regional no SESI Paulista
E teve início a tão esperada etapa regional do Torneio SESI de Robótica FIRST LEGO League, conhecido por ser o maior da área. O primeiro dia do campeonato, que aconteceu nesta sexta-feira, no SESI Paulista, reuniu 38 equipes formadas por estudantes de 9 a 16 anos de escolas públicas, privadas e times de garagem de estados do Nordeste. No torneio, os times apresentaram seus robôs autônomos criados com peças da LEGO e projetos de pesquisa sobre assuntos que permeiam o tema da temporada, City Shaper (cidades inteligentes e sustentáveis).
Uma das categorias mais esperadas do dia foi o Desafio do Robô, no qual os estudantes colocam o robô na arena de competição para cumprir determinadas missões sugeridas pelos juízes. Para alcançar boa pontuação, o robô precisa capturar, transportar ou entregar objetos na mesa de competição. Todos tiveram direito a três rounds, de dois minutos e 30 segundos cada, para execução das tarefas. Neste sábado (8), a disputa continua e os participantes precisarão mostrar que trabalham em sintonia e desenvolveram soluções inovadoras que possam melhorar os problemas atuais do meio ambiente, da mobilidade, da acessibilidade e dos desastres naturais. Os seis melhores colocados seguirão para a etapa nacional, marcada para março, em São Paulo.
