GOVERNO DO ESTADO RETIRA MAIS DE MEIO MILHÃO DE PESSOAS DO RODÍZIO NO RECIFE
Mais de meio milhão de pessoas passarão a receber água diariamente em suas casas no Recife. A boa notícia, anunciada nesta terça-feira (18) pelo Governo do Estado e pela Compesa, é fruto do reflexo das fortes chuvas dos últimos dias na Região Metropolitana do Recife. Por meio do abastecimento pelos sistemas integrados de Pirapama e Tapacurá, será possível levar água para mais de 500 mil pessoas que moram em diversos bairros do Recife. A medida entra em vigor na próxima segunda-feira (24), quando será instituído o novo calendário de abastecimento.
Serão beneficiados os bairros de Engenho do Meio, Cidade Universitária, Várzea, Torrões, Roda de Fogo (parte), Cordeiro, Bomba Grande, Iputinga, Brasilit, Caxangá, Detran, Monsenhor Fabrício, Dois Irmãos, Macaxeira (parte plana), Casa Amarela (parte plana), Casa Forte, Poço da Panela, Santana, Monteiro, Parnamirim, Mangueira, Bongi, Mustardinha, Prado, Cordeiro, Zumbi, Santo Amaro, Boa Vista, Soledade, Derby, Coelhos, Ilha do Leite, Paissandu, Graças, Espinheiro, Bairro do Recife, Aflitos, Madalena, Torre, San Martin, Mangueira e Jiquiá. “Nosso compromisso, conforme determinação do governador Paulo Câmara, é promover a ampliação da oferta de água para a população. Quando isso se traduz em eliminação de rodízio, a satisfação é ainda maior”, ressalta a presidente da Compesa, Manuela Marinho.
Manuela destaca que a Companhia continuará acompanhando a repercussão nos demais mananciais da RMR e que, sendo possível, e de forma segura e responsável, novos anúncios poderão ser feitos. “De abril para cá, já eliminamos ou reduzimos o rodízio para milhares de pessoas apenas na RMR. Não vamos descansar na nossa meta de levar água para cada vez mais pessoas”, diz.
Conforme dados desta segunda (17), a Barragem de Pirapama, localizada no Cabo de Santo Agostinho, atingiu 96.26% de acumulação, quando no dia 12 de maio estava com 68.51%. Já a Barragem de Tapacurá teve uma recuperação menor, porém importante, saindo de 30.32% para 35.56%.
