Compesa investe R$ 12 milhões em ações emergenciais para levar mais água a populaçõa
Diante da situação emergencial decretada devido à pandemia do novo coronavírus (COVID-19) em Pernambuco, a Compesa anunciou hoje (19) ações na Região Metropolitana do Recife (RMR) e no Interior, com o objetivo de levar mais água para a população. A primeira medida adotada é a suspensão da cobrança da conta para os 120 mil clientes enquadrados na tarifa social, além da ampliação da produção do Sistema Tapacurá a partir do aumento, em 500 litros por segundo, da vazão da água retirada da barragem de mesmo nome (de 2.500 l/s para 3.000 l/s). A estratégia se baseia nos estudos e no acompanhamento da previsão de chuvas para o trimestre de abril a junho da Agência Pernambucana de Águas e Clima (APAC), que prevê um aumento de 20% no volume de precipitações.
A ação é imediata e beneficia mais de 150 mil pessoas que moram nas áreas dos Morros da Zona Norte, a exemplo do Alto Santa Isabel, Alto do Mandú, Alto do Novo Mundo, Alto Treze de Maio, Alto Nossa Senhora de Fátima, Alto José do Pinho, Morro da Conceição e Alto do Eucalipto.
A segunda medida emergencial, que tem duração inicial de 30 dias e que receberá investimento de cerca de R$ 2,5 milhões, é o reforço de carro-pipa na RMR e interior. Na região metropolitana, o incremento será de 150% passando da utilização de 16 carros-pipas para 40 que realizarão 160 viagens por dia. Esta ação visa atender localidades desabastecidas – sem rede ou com pressão insuficiente -, no Recife, Olinda, Paulista, Camaragibe e Jaboatão dos Guararapes. Já no interior, a utilização de carros-pipa irá saltar de 145 para 320 que serão responsáveis por realizar mais de 1.200 viagens por dia. Serão beneficiadas as localidades desabastecidas dos municípios de Caruaru, Toritama, Santa Cruz do Capibaribe, Garanhuns, Paudalho, Carpina, Vitória de Santo Antão, Belo Jardim, Gravatá, Salgueiro, Serra Talhada, Afogados da Ingazeira e Ouricuri, entre outros.
Por fim, tendo em vista que a Região Metropolitana do Recife concentra a maior parte da população do Estado, a Compesa elaborou um plano emergencial que prevê a execução de 43 obras estratégicas na região, com um investimento de R$ 9,5 milhões. A medida é fruto de estudos realizados para viabilizar obras consideradas de pequeno e médio portes para otimizar a distribuição de água da RMR. Desta forma, serão executadas obras de curto prazo em 43 localidades, beneficiando 260 mil pessoas. A previsão é a de que as intervenções sejam concluídas no prazo de 30 a 120 dias.
ACOMPANHAMENTO DOS MANANCIAIS – A Compesa está realizando monitoramento contínuo dos mananciais juntamente com a Apac com o objetivo de acompanhar o nível de acumulação devido às recentes chuvas registradas e, com isso, ampliar a oferta de água para a população. As primeiras melhorias já são sentidas no interior do estado, beneficiando cerca de 150 mil pessoas. Os mananciais que atendem os municípios de Jataúba, Santa Cruz do Capibaribe, Sanharó e Escada saíram de situação de pré-colapso ou colapso após registrarem aumento do volume de água acumulada. Já os municípios de Triunfo, Brejo da Madre de Deus, Belo Jardim, São Benedito do Sul e Pombos tiveram redução do rodízio.
A Compesa ressalta que esse cenário é dinâmico e que pode ser atualizado diariamente, à medida que sejam registradas chuvas em Pernambuco. Por isso, o monitoramento é realizado todos os dias e, sempre que a situação permitir, a Companhia atuará com o objetivo de reduzir os rodízios que se impõem devido ao cenário de déficit hídrico que atinge 90% do território pernambucano.
