Cerca de 2.500 pessoas de Quixaba e Barro serão beneficiadas
As obras de implantação do sistema de abastecimento de água das localidades de Quixaba e Barro, no município de Parnamirim, estão sendo executadas a todo vapor pela Compesa. A ordem de serviço foi assinada pelo governador Paulo Câmara em julho deste ano, e em pouco mais de um mês, 25% dos serviços já foram executados. A obra tem um investimento de R$ 2,1 milhões e vai beneficiar 2.500 pessoas das duas localidades, sendo realizada em parceria com a Prefeitura de Parnamirim.
Nesta tarde (30), o gerente Regional da Compesa, Alex Chaves, visitou a obra que contempla a implantação de 12 quilômetros de tubulações que irão levar água do Sistema Adutor do Oeste até a Estação de Tratamento de Água (ETA) de Quixaba, situada às margens do Açude do Cachimbo. “Dos 12 quilômetros de adutora previstos, quase cinco já foram assentados e seguem em ritmo acelerado”, afirmou Alex.
Da ETA Quixaba serão implantados mais 2,5 quilômetros de tubulações e será construída uma estação elevatória que vai bombear água para o povoado do Barro. “Essa obra é um desejo antigo dos moradores da região e um compromisso do governador Paulo Câmara. Com recursos próprios e apoio do prefeito de Parnamirim Tácio Pontes, estamos conseguindo tornar realidade e melhorar a vida dessas famílias.”, afirmou o presidente da Compesa, Roberto Tavares.
