Ação da Prefeitura do Jaboatão promove interação entre crianças com transtornos mentais e Cães Doutores
Para as crianças, adaptar-se ao cenário de isolamento social exigido pela pandemia do novo coronavírus pode ser difícil, ainda mais para aquelas com transtornos mentais. A nova rotina, sem escolas, creches, sem contato com os colegas ou passeios alterou a vida dos pequenos. Para ajudar as crianças em reabilitação durante a pandemia, o Centro de Apoio Psicossocial (Caps) Infantil do Jaboatão dos Guararapes recebeu, na manhã desta terça-feira (8), a visita do projeto Cães Doutores. O objetivo da ação foi proporcionar um momento de troca afetiva para quem está em tratamento.
Psicóloga e coordenadora de Saúde Mental da Prefeitura do Jaboatão, Paula Pereira, destacou a importância do encontro para as crianças. “Esse é um momento em que é preciso evitar abraços e todo tipo de contato físico. Explicar isso, e ao mesmo tempo reverter os prejuízos comportamentais e psíquicos que são causados pela quarentena para pessoas que já precisam naturalmente de um trabalho de socialização, é muito complicado”, analisou.
Paula ainda reitera que a convivência com animais possibilita que os pequenos interajam e não se fechem no trato com outras pessoas: “Essa relação de cumplicidade com o animal gera benefícios na rotina de uma criança com Transtorno do Espectro do Autismo (TEA), por exemplo”.
O projeto Cães Doutores atua há 12 anos promovendo intervenções assistidas por animais adestrados em instituições da rede pública de saúde. Atualmente, o grupo possui 21 cães atuantes.
