Toda ajuda é necessária para assistir as famílias mais vulneráveis que sofrem com a fome

Milhares de pessoas não têm o que comer: falta-lhes o alimento básico. Segundo o Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE), em cinco anos, a fome aumentou no Brasil e já são 10,3 milhões de pessoas que vivem em insegurança alimentar grave no país. A fome é mais prevalente nas áreas rurais, atinge mais os domicílios chefiados por mulheres e quase metade dos famintos são da região Nordeste. Com a pandemia do novo coronavírus os índices de desemprego também aumentaram atingindo a marca de 14,1 milhões de pessoas, de acordo com a Pesquisa Nacional por Amostra de Domicílios Contínua (Pnad) pelo IBGE, divulgada em dezembro/2020. Outra preocupação é a alta nos preços dos alimentos que também afeta as famílias mais vulneráveis, principalmente as que moram com pessoas abaixo dos 18 anos.
Por isso, a Legião da Boa Vontade (LBV) continua sua intensa mobilização social, por meio de suas campanhas emergenciais que visam angariar donativos para entregar itens essenciais, a exemplo do leite, que compõe a cesta de alimentos, tão necessário para reforçar a alimentação da família e ajudar no desenvolvimento de crianças.
A LBV precisa de doações para continuar prestando o atendimento a milhares de famílias em vulnerabilidade social e em risco alimentar que foram fortemente afetadas com os impactos socioeconômicos da pandemia da Covid-19.
A meta da LBV é entregar por meio da Campanha Diga SIM, até agosto, nas cinco regiões do país, 85 mil cestas de alimentos; 242 mil litros de leite; 91 mil kits de higiene e de limpeza; e ainda 20 mil cobertores para famílias que residem em regiões onde o inverno é mais rigoroso, além de continuar com todo atendimento em suas 82 unidades socioeducacionais.
Comunidades atendidas X Fome
O público atendido pela LBV no Recife, são famílias de comunidades vulneráveis da Região Político Administrativa – RPA 1, entre elas, Cabanga, Coelhos, Coque, Ilha de Joana Bezerra, Santo Antônio, São José, Santo Amaro. Contudo, a Instituição está presente também no Agreste e no Sertão do Moxotó, assistindo famílias oriundas da zona rural.
No Recife, segundo dados do Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE), por meio da Pesquisa de Orçamentos Familiares (POF) 2017-2018, divulgada em setembro/2020, descreve que a Região Político Administrativa do Recife – RPA 1, é a região mais vulnerável do Recife, com uma renda per capita de meio salário mínimo por família, que lutam para o sustento familiar. Dados ainda da pesquisa, aponta que em Pernambuco, 661 mil pessoas enfrentam a insegurança alimentar grave, que ocorre quando os moradores passam pela privação de alimentos, levando à fome.
