SindtaxiPE celebra o Dia de São Cristóvão, padroeiro dos motoristas
Uma carreata com a imagem do santo saiu da Igreja Madre de Deus, no Recife Antigo, e percorreu até a Paróquia de São Sebastião e São Cristóvão, na Imbiribeira, zona sul da capital. Ao final, o padre Nilton Santos aspergiu água benta nos veículos, motos e bicicletas que passavam em frente à igreja. A programação religiosa encerrou com uma missa solene.
Em seguida, o SindtaxiPE e algumas empresas parceiras realizaram sorteios na sede do sindicato. Os prêmios, entregues pelo presidente Flávio Fortunato foram: 1 cheque no valor de R$ 500 (Fiat Italiana), 2 cheques no valor de R$ 250 (Fiat Italiana), 2 miadores (David Taxímetro), 4 inspeções veiculares (Ibra TV), 4 trocas de óleo (Concessionária GM Pedragon) e kit gás (Via Gás).
“Em um momento de tantas incertezas que estamos passando, celebramos o dia do nosso padroeiro São Cristóvão com muita fé. Em nome do SindtaxiPE, agradecemos aos taxistas e quero dizer que, juntos, vamos superar as dificuldades e que tudo vai dar certo”, afirmou Fortunato.
CO-PADROEIRO – A Paróquia da Imbiribeira era dedicada apenas a São Sebastião, mas, com a mudança do SindtaxiPE para o bairro, São Cristóvão foi declarado co-padroeiro da paróquia pela Arquidiocese de Olinda e Recife.
FESTA RELIGIOSA – Com o tema: “Dá-nos proteção na pandemia e bênção em nossos caminhos”, a 42ª Festa de São Cristóvão iniciou no último dia 16 de julho com celebrações entre outras atividades em homenagem ao santo.
SIGNIFICADO- Segundo a tradição católica, São Cristóvão ajudava as pessoas a atravessar um rio. Ele transportou um menino que revelou ser Jesus Cristo. Com isso, a palavra “Cristóvão” significa “aquele que carrega Cristo”.
