Setembro amarelo: campanha alerta sobre prevenção do suicídio
No Brasil, o suicídio é considerado um problema de saúde pública. Segundo a Organização Mundial de Saúde (OMS), a cada 40 segundos, uma pessoa comete suicídio no mundo e é a segunda principal causa de morte entre indivíduos com faixa etária entre 15 e 29 anos. Além disso, um estudo realizado em 2002, por José Manoel Bertolote, pesquisador na área, afirma que 96,8% dos casos estão relacionados a transtornos mentais tratados indevidamente ou não tratados de forma alguma.
Desde 2015, foi criada a campanha do ‘Setembro Amarelo’ pela parceria entre o Centro de Valorização da Vida (CVV), Conselho Federal de Medicina (CFM) e a Associação Brasileira de Psiquiatria (ABP). O dia 10 deste mês é, oficialmente, o Dia Mundial de Prevenção ao Suicídio. O intuito é criar um período no ano em que a sociedade possa debater, ter conhecimento sobre o tema e possa alertar a população sobre a prevenção do ato.
Também de acordo com a OMS, 90% dos suicídios podem ser prevenidos.
Segundo a psicóloga Monick Brito, bipolaridade, ansiedade, depressão são alguns dos transtornos que mais contribuem para o suícidio, a especialista revela algumas das prevenções. “O principal é a indicação de um acompanhamento psicoterápico com uma abordagem que atenda a necessidade do indivíduo, a participação de grupos de ajuda e atividades do cotidiano também é uma forma de incentivo para ocupar a mente”. Além disso, Monick afirma que a prevenção é utilizar maneiras simples de estimular o indivíduo não cometer o suicídio. “Não podemos falar sobre prevenção esperando que seja oferecido algo extraordinário, que vá mudar a vida do indivíduo, porque o saudável é que ele encontre conforto e bem-estar no seu padrão de vida, com sua rotina”.
Fundado há mais de 50 anos, o Centro de Valorização da Vida (CVV) é uma das ONGs voltadas ao tema mais antigas do Brasil. A associação filantrópica atua no apoio emocional e na prevenção do suicídio por meio de e-mail, telefone (188), chat ou pessoalmente. O CVV funciona 24h e obtêm 110 postos pelo Brasil com mais de 2400 voluntários.
No Recife, Eliene Soares, 51, já é voluntária há 10 anos. “É um trabalho muito especial ser voluntária dO CVV. Eu tenho a oportunidade de melhorar todo dia, ajudando pessoa que precisam conversar, desabafar e muitas vezes elas não têm com quem fazer isso. É ter tolerância, paciência, aceitação e abertura para receber e ouvir quem pensa diferente”, afirma Eliene.
Garantindo o sigilo e anonimato de quem entra em contato com o Centro, em 2018 o CVV Brasil recebeu em torno de 3 milhões de ligações. Foi um aumento de quase 50% em relação a 2017. Já no Recife, eles recebem em média 6 mil ligações por mês. Neste mês de setembro, o número geralmente dobra.
Roda de conversa debaterá importância do Setembro Amarelo
No dia 18 de setembro, o Teatro Beberibe sediará uma roda de conversa devido ao Setembro Amarelo. Organizado pelo projeto Mundo do Lua, o debate tem o intuito de discutir a importância de conversar sobre depressão e suicídio sem barreiras, desmistificando ambos os temas. O evento será às 16h e as inscrições podem ser feitas online.
O Mundo do Lua é um projeto que oferece diversos serviços para ajudar pessoas com depressão, transtornos mentais ou apenas pessoas que sintam a necessidade de serem ajudadas. O projeto foi criado em 2017 por Sibely Fernanda, que perdeu o filho em 2015 e se viu na obrigação de criar um projeto que reduza a taxa de suicídios em Pernambuco.
O grupo oferece psicólogos voluntários para atuar em algumas escolas estaduais e municipais de Paulista, pois a presença dos profissionais é rara. “Eu senti na pele o que muitos brasileiros sentem, que é querer ter dinheiro para pagar uma consulta para o seu filho e não ter, querer ajuda psicológica ou psiquiátrica e não ter”, diz Sibely sobre a iniciativa.
Já no âmbito cultural, foi criado o MaracaLua, maracatu criado com o objetivo de tirar os jovens da comunidade de Paratibe da marginalização e oferecer um entretenimento diferente dos que são disponibilizados na área. Além disso, também promovem palestras em escolas, eventos, rodas de conversas, para levar esse assunto ao conhecimento de todos.
