Prefeitura do Jaboatão realiza obra que eliminará esgoto lançado na praia de Candeias
A Prefeitura do Jaboatão dos Guararapes deu início à segunda fase das obras que irão eliminar o despejo irregular de esgoto doméstico na praia do bairro de Candeias. Serão instaladas canaletas e bombas de recalque que farão a ligação da Rua Gilberto Carlos Zarzar com o sistema de macrodrenagem da Rua Maria Digna Gameiro. Na primeira etapa, foram identificados os imóveis que despejam esgotos nas canaletas exclusivas para águas pluviais e seus proprietários foram devidamente notificados por infringir a legislação ambiental.
A previsão é de que a obra seja concluída em até dois meses, conforme a Secretaria Executiva de Serviços Urbanos e Defesa Civil, responsável pela intervenção. Ao todo, serão implantados 500 metros de tubulação e 280 metros de canaletas. A expectativa é que toda a área seja contemplada com sistema de saneamento básico, serviço de responsabilidade da Companhia Pernambucana de Saneamento (Compesa), por meio do programa Cidade Saneada, fruto de parceria público-privada entre o órgão estadual e a empresa BRK Ambiental.
