Município do Condado completa 58 anos de emancipação política
Ainda nesta quarta-feira (11), foi entregue o calçamento de mais uma rua, além da base do Samu que será entregue durante a tarde.
O município do Condado, localizado na Zona da Mata Norte de Pernambuco, comemora nesta quarta-feira (11), 58 anos de Emancipação Política.
Devido a pandemia, não foram feitas as tradições comemorações de anos anteriores e a Prefeitura realizou o hasteamento dos pavilhões e missa solene.
Ainda nesta quarta-feira (11), foi entregue o calçamento de mais uma rua, além da base do Samu que será entregue durante a tarde.
O atual prefeito Antônio Cassiano (Republicanos) parabenizou a cidade e falou do orgulho de poder gerir o município.
“É com muita alegria que eu parabenizo essa cidade maravilhosa, do qual eu me orgulho muito em ser prefeito e lutar para trazer recursos e conquistas para esse povo incrível que só Condado tem”, afirmou Cassiano.
História
Inicialmente, o distrito de Condado era denominado Goianinha e integrava o território do município de Goiana. Foi criado pela lei municipal nº. 28, de 07 de julho de 1896. Teve o nome mudado para Condado a 31 de dezembro de 1943, através do decreto-lei estadual nº. 952.
Em 23 de março de 1944, foi assentada a cruz na torre da atual Igreja Matriz, o que marcou a inauguração do novo templo. Foi elevado à categoria de município autônomo, por lei estadual nº. 3.340, a 31 de dezembro de 1958. Sua instalação ocorreu a 11 de novembro de 1962. Administrativamente é formado pelo distrito Sede.
