Homem da Meia-Noite vai desfilar com o Cordel do Fogo Encantado em 2020
Uma das mais antigas agremiações das ladeiras do Sítio Histórico de Olinda, o Homem da Meia Noite traz novidades para o carnaval 2020. No dia 22 de fevereiro, o calunga vai desfilar pelas ruas acompanhado do som do Cordel do Fogo do Encantado. A atração faz parte do tema deste ano Do Cais ao Sertão, o Gigante faz Chover, que homenageia a banda de Arcoverde, o compositor Rogério Rangel e o Maestro Oséas.
O tema, segundo os organizadores do bloco, remete à água e a esperança que renova a vida, além de trazer uma profunda reflexão sobre o descaso com os rios, mares e mangues. ‘Chover leva esperança para o nosso povo. Agora, com essa questão do óleo nada mais certo do que esse tema’, afirmou Luís Adolpho, presidente do Homem da Meia-Noite.
Famoso pela música Chover, o Cordel do Fogo Encantado vem representar a importância cultural do Sertão do estado nas ladeiras de Olinda. O vocalista Lirinha recebeu a notícia de forma emocionada e ressaltou a responsabilidade de trazer representatividade de uma região ‘que tem no símbolo da água sua metáfora da esperança e resistência’.
O calunga também vai prestar uma homenagem a Oséas Leão, figura conhecida no carnaval de Olinda. Com 65 anos, ele rege a Matinê Orquestra do Maestro Oséas, que desfila com 35 músicos nas ladeiras. O último agraciado com as honrarias do bloco foi o autor do hino Regresso do Homem da Meia-Noite, Rogério Rangel.
As três atrações se apresentarão juntas em um cortejo no dia 2 de fevereiro nas ruas de Arcoverde, quando o Calunga completará 88 anos, durante a cerimônia de entrega do tradicional Fraque.
Novidades
No mês de janeiro, o bloco realizará o Projeto Chover na Bica, um concerto de frevo regido pelo Maestro Oséas e Rogério Rangel com o objetivo de trazer uma reflexão sobre a preservação e valorização da água através de música e poesia.
Este ano, uma novidade pode ser esperada nas vestes do boneco gigante. O fraque será feito pela marca de moda autoral olindense Período Fértil, que tem como característica em suas peças a mistura de elementos da cultura popular e design contemporâneo.
