Considerado um dos maiores artistas-tributo a Elvis Presley do Mundo, Di Light se apresenta no Recife
O Manhattan Café Theatro realiza duas noites, na próxima sexta-feira (9) e sábado (10) , a partir das 21h, um tributo ao Rei do Rock com Di Light, primeiro representante do continente a vencer competições no Brasil e fora dele chanceladas pela Elvis Presley Enterprises, detentora dos direitos oficiais de tudo o que se refere à carreira de Elvis Presley. A noite conta, ainda, com a participação de Heitor Crespo. A abertura fica por conta dos Garçons Cantores.
Desde muito pequeno Diogo Light começou a ouvir os discos de Elvis Presley, influenciado pelo pai. Ao longo dos anos, Diogo aprendeu a amar e respeitar o seu ídolo maior, como fã incondicional que é e também como um destacado intérprete de sua grandiosa obra.
Hoje, Di Light é considerado um dos mais populares artistas-tributo a Elvis Presley do Mundo. Para ele é uma honra, bênção e um grande desafio prestar tributo ao maior artista de todos os tempos.
Há mais de doze anos fazendo shows anos em países da América Latina, Estados Unidos, Canadá, Austrália e Europa, Diogo venceu em 2013 a primeira competição endossada pela ELVIS PRESLEY ENTERPRISES® (EPE) na América Latina, representando o continente no ULTIMATE ELVIS TRIBUTE ARTIST COMPETITION em Memphis, Tennesse.
Desde então, Diogo Light vem participando e vencendo diversas competições nos EUA e Canadá, como em Myrtle Beach-Carolina do Sul, Tupelo-Mississippi (cidade natal de Elvis), Georgia Elvis Festival em Brunswick, Ocean City Elvis Festival-Maryland, Niagara Falls Elvis Festival no Canadá, Texas Elvis Festival, em Dallas e Nashville Elvis Festival, todas competições ULTIMATE endossadas pela EPE.
Em agosto de 2017 Diogo Light sagra-se campeão Mundial em Memphis (TN) nos EUA, do Images of The King of The World e em 2018 é segundo colocado no Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Competition®©, competição produzida pela Elvis Presley Enterprises® em Memphis, TN.
Um artista completo que honra e dignifica a obra de Elvis Presley com apresentações eletrizantes, conquistando um público cada vez maior no Brasil e exterior.
Já Heitor Crespo já nasceu fã de Elvis Presley. Aos dois anos de idade, ele viajou com os pais para Memphis, no Tennessee (Estados Unidos), cidade natal do músico. Na época, já sabia que Elvis era um cara “que dançava com as pernas tortas”. Aos 16, Heitor, craque na guitarra, ficou um ano nos Estados Unidos estudando música. Fez alguns contatos lá, para tentar entrar no showbizz, mas não deu em nada. De volta ao Brasil, entrou no curso de Análise de Sistemas da Fatec. No dia 16 de agosto de 2012 (“bem no aniversário de morte do Elvis!”, lembra), Heitor recebeu um e-mail que mudou sua vida. Era de um empresário americano, convidando-o para tocar em um musical em comemoração aos 35 anos da morte de Elvis Presley, na Arena do Chile, para um público de 15 mil pessoas. “Eles não tinham nenhum guitarrista disponível, e eu morava na América do Sul. Não pensei duas vezes: tranquei a faculdade e aceitei a proposta”.
Seis meses depois da turnê chilena, veio a notícia de que Heitor Crespo seria contratado para tocar guitarra no Elvis Fest 2013 em Las Vegas, no Hotel Hilton. Além de acompanhar os sósias Doug Church, Justin Shandor, Garry Wesley e Ben Portsmouth, o jovem paulistano irá tocar nas bandas de Cody Slaughter e Shawn Klush, que se apresentam na noite de sábado (13 de julho). Cody Slaughter prepara um tributo especial ao primeiro show da carreira de Elvis Presley, quando ele ainda era conhecido como “o cantor atômico”; Shawn Klush presta homenagem aos 837 concertos protagonizados por Elvis naquele palco. Quem acompanha o jovem guitarrista na bateria é o DJ Fontana, que durante 14 anos tocou com o Rei em turnês.
Intimista, o Manhattan Café Teatro fica na Rua Francisco da Cunha, 881, Boa Viagem. O couvert artístico custa R$ 100.
