COMPESA AMPLIA ABASTECIMENTO DE ÁGUA NA ILHA DE ITAMARACÁ
Com o objetivo de levar mais água aos moradores da Ilha de Itamaracá, litoral norte de Pernambuco, a Compesa iniciou uma obra emergencial para implantação de mais de dois quilômetros de rede de distribuição de água para atender a localidade do Alto da Bela Vista. A ação, que está prevista para ser concluída em junho e recebe investimento de R$ 320 mil, beneficiará 200 famílias que passarão a ter acesso a água tratada e mais qualidade de vida.
A obra, inserida no pacote de obras emergências para o enfrentamento da COVID-19, faz parte da segunda etapa do projeto de ampliação do Sistema de Abastecimento de Água da Ilha de Itamaracá. Na primeira etapa, concluída em fevereiro deste ano, foi implantada uma rede de cerca de 1,5 quilômetros, interligando o poço Alto Bela Vista ao sistema de abastecimento existente na ilha, com investimento de R$ 162 mil.
O início dos trabalhos da obra foi vistoriado pelo gerente da Unidade de Negócios Metropolitana Norte 2, Artur Santos, e pelo prefeito Mosar de Melo (Tato), acompanhado de secretários municipais. “É gratificante realizar ações emergenciais desenvolvidas com foco no combate ao coronavírus e acompanhar de perto a expansão dos nossos serviços, nesta comunidade que não era atendida pela Compesa, beneficiando cada vez mais a população pernambucana”, destacou Artur.
