Comissão aprova projeto que permite abertura de igrejas em períodos de calamidade pública
A Comissão de Seguridade Social e Família da Câmara dos Deputados aprovou projeto de lei que reconhece como essenciais, nos períodos de calamidade pública, as atividades religiosas realizadas em igrejas, santuários, comunidades missionárias, centros religiosos e templos de qualquer natureza, sendo vedado o fechamento destes locais.
Foi aprovado o substitutivo do deputado Ossesio Silva (Republicanos-PE) ao Projeto de Lei 1995/20, da deputada Rosangela Gomes (Republicanos-RJ) e outros. O texto engloba o projeto e os 14 apensados, que também tratam da realização de cultos religiosos em períodos de calamidade.
O relator afirmou que o número de propostas apensadas evidencia a relevância do tema. “Os momentos de calamidade são justamente aqueles em que a sanidade espiritual e mental do indivíduo mais se apoia no conforto da religião, não apenas na intimidade de sua consciência, mas também como experiência coletiva de comunhão e apoio mútuo”, disse Silva.
Conforme o substitutivo, os locais destinados aos cultos ficarão abertos, mas terão que cumprir as medidas determinadas em lei para a proteção da segurança, da ordem, da saúde e dos direitos e liberdades das demais pessoas.
Além disso, eventuais limitações à liberdade de manifestação religiosa não deverão comprometer o atendimento presencial. Caberá ao Poder Executivo regulamentar a lei no prazo de 60 dias após a sua publicação.
Tramitação
A proposta tramita em caráter conclusivo e será analisada agora pela Comissão de Constituição e Justiça e de Cidadania (CCJ).
