Colégio CBV recebe pontos de coletas de resíduos eletroeletrônicos em parceria com a ONG Sempre Viva
As unidades Jaqueira e Boa Viagem do Colégio CBV contam agora com pontos de coleta de equipamentos eletroeletrônicos quebrados ou sem uso que serão destinados para o descarte correto. A ação está sendo realizada em parceria com a ONG Sempre Viva, instituição social que prepara mulheres da periferia para o mercado de trabalho. Os pontos de coleta estão disponíveis para a população e os equipamentos podem ser entregues dentro do horário de funcionamento da escola.
Todo o material coletado irá ajudar na manutenção da Sempre Viva, já que a organização é sustentada através de doações e voluntariado. Os resíduos eletrônicos serão destinados para a Saga Consultoria, empresa certificada de coleta, separação e descarte correto de resíduos sólidos, e a renda do repasse será revertida para as ações sociais da ONG.
Além do cunho social, garantir que os resíduos sólidos tenham um destino adequado é também uma forma de cuidar do meio ambiente e da saúde pública. Isso porque o descarte inadequado dos eletrônicos no lixo comum pode contaminar a água e o solo, devido aos metais pesados encontrados em suas composições.
“Chumbo, cádmio, mercúrio, berílio, entre outros elementos químicos, estão presentes nesses equipamentos. Quando contaminam o solo e a água, se tornam um sério problema para o nosso ecossistema. Além disso, podem provocar patologias graves quando em contato com o ser humano e os animais, como cânceres e doenças cardiovasculares”, explica Pietro Sales, professor de Química do CBV.
Os pontos de coleta estão recebendo itens como CPU, notebook, nobreak, estabilizadores, monitores, fontes, HD, cabos de força, eletrodoméstico, celulares, carregadores, tablets, impressoras, leitores de CD/DVD, HD externo, placas, lâmpadas led, entre outros tipos de equipamentos. Os resíduos podem ser entregues no CBV Jaqueira, localizado na Rua Dr. José Maria, nº 1106, Tamarineira. Já os moradores da Zona Sul podem entregar os itens no CBV Boa Viagem, na Rua Professor Eduardo Wanderley Filho, nº 539.
