Documento traz propostas e posicionamentos em defesa da mulher advogada, da jovem advocacia, da igualdade racial, da diversidade de gênero e advogados com deficiência
Os candidatos à presidência da OAB/PE, Almir Reis e Fernanda Resende, da chapa Renova OAB PE (@renovaoabpe), lançam manifesto em defesa da democracia, diversidade e direitos humanos. A inquietação é com relação aos ataques às instituições jurídicas, o que coloca em xeque a democracia, a segurança jurídica e os direitos fundamentais. Eles também fazem críticas à atual gestão da Ordem.
“No âmbito estadual, a OAB de Pernambuco tem se mostrado titubeante na defesa das prerrogativas inerentes à advocacia, em especial àquela desvinculada das grandes bancas e dos grandes escritórios, que encontram canais privilegiados de diálogo institucional, ao passo que os pequenos escritórios, a jovem advocacia, a advocacia interiorana, e a defesa dos direitos humanos e nossas prerrogativas sofrem com desrespeitos flagrantes e cotidianos, aos quais a gestão atual da seccional de Pernambuco da OAB responde com insensibilidade, omissão e cumplicidade”, diz trecho do manifesto.
O documento foi consolidado após a realização de um evento com mesas temáticas, que contou com a participação de mais de 400 mulheres, incluindo as ativistas Vera Baroni, Fabiana Leite e Liane Cirne Lins. Já as pautas das pessoas com deficiência foram constituídas por um grupo liderado pelo advogado garanhuense Jarbas Trindade, que tem deficiência visual e conhece de perto os desafios enfrentados pelos advogados e advogadas com a mesma realidade. Desde o ano passado, os advogados e também professores Almir Reis e Fernanda Resende percorrem o Estado para conhecer de perto, ouvir e debater as dificuldades e anseios do mundo jurídico. A dupla já visitou escritórios em mais de cem cidades – do Litoral ao Sertão – para a construção de 100 propostas à categoria. A chapa conta ainda com quatro comitês instalados no Estado e já conseguiram a maior adesão da advocacia do interior já registrada em movimentos de oposição nas eleições da OAB/PE. Foram formalizadas pelo menos oito chapas pelo Estado: Palmares, Paulista, Jaboatão dos Guararapes, Garanhuns, Cabo de Santo Agostinho, Pesqueira, Petrolina e Araripina. Juntas, só estas secções envolvem 65 cidades e 7.055 advogados.
