Aeroporto Senador Nilo Coelho, em Petrolina, será privatizado
Já está nos planos do Governo Federal a concessão de outro aeroporto de Pernambuco. Dessa vez, o Aeroporto Senador Nilo Coelho, em Petrolina, cidade do Sertão, será concedido à iniciativa privada. A informação foi dita pelo ministro da Infraestrutura, Tarcísio Gomes de Freitas, durante reunião que aconteceu na última segunda-feira com representantes do governo de Pernambuco.
De acordo com o Ministério da Infraestrutura, o governo anunciará como será o processo do terminal de Petrolina depois que acontecer a 5ª rodada de concessões, rodada que inclui o Aeroporto Internacional do Recife. A secretaria de Infraestrutura do Estado confirmou que o projeto será tratado após a concessão do terminal da capital pernambucana, leilão que está marcado para acontecer no dia 15 de março.
O projeto de venda do Aeroporto de Petrolina está no planejamento do Governo Federal, já que a intenção é fechar a Infraero, ainda segundo o Ministério da Infraestrutura. No último dia 21, o novo secretário de aviação civil do governo, Ronei Glanzmann, disse que para atender as diretrizes macroeconômicas do governo de redução do Estado, a Infraero será extinta após a venda de todos os seus aeroportos. A gestão federal vai realizar mais duas rodadas de concessões, previstas para acontecer até 2021.
Pelo processo da 5ª rodada, o terminal do Recife será concedido à iniciativa privada, por 30 anos, através do Bloco Nordeste, composto ainda dos aeroportos de Maceió (AL), Aracaju (SE), Juazeiro do Norte (CE), João Pessoa (PB) e Campina Grande (PB). No mesmo certame, ainda haverá a concessão dos aeroportos dos blocos Sudeste e Centro-Oeste.
