Series: Corruption during the pandemic! human lives, what does it matter? (Episode 17)
Brasília, Brazil
When the super-rich and rich of our world, research institutes or economic commentators talk about extreme poverty diverting the focus of human beings, the protagonists in this scenario of misery and poverty, cancel people out of the equation and shift the attention of the brain to a condition so generic and distant from day-to-day, that even those who starve in the condition of miserable also come to believe that they are not talking about him.
The poor and miserable of our world read economic reports (if they find time for it) without including themselves in such a condition, which demonstrates that the strategy outlined by the classes at the top of the pyramid is effective.
When reading an economic report, know that there may be data manipulated by the ideology that controls the researcher or the institute that discloses it; there is also the “corporate” agreement that can be explicit or implicit between the classes at the top of the pyramid, so that in the end they always disclose that poverty and misery are, at some level, decreasing.
It is with this strategy that such agents manage, as the great magicians, to promote the optical illusion that makes the world audience numb by the pyrotechnics of the show and forget that they are being deceived. After all, the speed of the magician’s and the thief’s movements is similar in at least one respect: it deceives the superficiality of those who look and don’t see.
In previous articles, I have written about the theory of the “Excluded Third” by the philosopher Aristotle, who says that the same thing cannot be and not be at the same time.
So, tell me: how can variables that have always been on the increase (poverty and misery) also be on the decrease?
In other words, how can poverty and misery, which are ever-increasing, be simultaneously decreasing?
Even worse, how can you believe such arguments? Could it be that this argument, anchored in the most absolute absence of logic, is the same one that makes you repeatedly vote for the lying candidates of the left, center, and right who have always promised you heaven?
Turning to Credit Suisse’s Global Wealth Report, it records that there are 47 million multimillionaires in the world, representing only 0.9% of the 5 billion adults in the world. That’s how it is! Only 47 million out of the planet’s 7.4 billion population snap up the immense and overwhelming majority of its wealth.
And not only that, added to these 47 million multimillionaires, the riches comprise 43.9% of the US$ 360.6 trillion of global wealth, which implies that only 546 million adults (10, 7%) from the top of the pyramid appropriate 82.6% of all the wealth generated in our world.
So, let’s do a small sum operation: 47 + 546 = 593 million super-rich and rich, who keep 43.9% of the world’s wealth and the other more than 7 billion share poverty and misery.
Now, to confirm what I told you about the contradictory but convincing strategy of the ruling classes who always say that inequality is decreasing, read the final part of Credit Suisse’s Global Wealth Report:
“But, despite the glaring inequality, it has reduced in recent years, because at the base of the pyramid, in 2017, there were 3.5 billion adults with assets below USD 10 thousand, representing 70.1% of the total and there were 1.05 billion adults with assets between 10 thousand and 100 thousand, representing 21.3% of the total. These percentages decreased in 2019 and the percentage increased in the top two groups.”
Tell me: does this repeated contradiction not irritate you, does it cause you indignation? If it doesn’t, you’ve lost the typical human sensitivity and empathy!
You need to start reading and listening to what people say around you with a more critical sense, instead of letting yourself be driven as if you were an animal with a short halter, which only goes where the tread of the donkeys, like the loaded mules that cyclically climb the Himalayas to serve their owners.
Of course, it is possible that a person who has fallen into an abyss and is digging steps to climb those walls is no longer at the bottom of the abyss. But, having climbed 2 steps, it is undoubtedly still in the same abyss. This is the scenario of our world when it comes to the accumulation of wealth and poverty.
Don’t be surprised that I speak of “accumulation of poverty”. The fact is that in the same way that the super-rich and the rich accumulate ASSETS, the middle class, the poor, and the miserable accumulate LIABILITIES, debts that they cannot get rid of and are recurring monthly.
To be continued next Saturday.
