Professor Molion faz palestra em Petrolina e alerta para problemas de geração hidrelétrica
Resfriamento climático, fenômenos El Niño e La Niña e uma análise e diagnóstico do regime de chuvas no Vale do São Francisco nos últimos 180 dias. Estes foram alguns dos temas apresentados na noite desta quinta-feira (27), em Petrolina – PE, durante a palestra ‘Perspectivas do clima para 2022 e sua tendência para 15 anos’, ministrada pelo professor, meteorologista e pesquisador da Universidade Federal de Alagoas, Luiz Carlos Molion.
No encontro, uma promoção do Sindicato dos Produtores Rurais de Petrolina (SPR) e a UBYFOL (multinacional brasileira especialista em nutrição vegetal), o professor que também é PhD em Meteorologia e pós Doc em Hidrologia de Florestas, alertou para a perspectiva de invernos rigorosos nos próximos 10 ou 15 anos no sul e sudeste do Brasil, vazões reduzidas no Rio São Francisco e um grande problema com a geração hidrelétrica. “A grande solução, principalmente para os produtores agrícolas, será a criação de cooperativas de geração de energia termo solar (CSP)”, sugeriu.
Molion também surpreendeu o público ao discordar da hipótese, amplamente divulgada pela mídia, que o clima do planeta esteja se aquecendo. “De acordo com essa hipótese, para frear o aquecimento é necessário reduzir as emissões de CO2. Demonstra-se que essa hipótese não tem bases físicas sólidas e que a tendência do clima é de resfriamento global nos próximos anos devido ao mínimo de atividade solar, que ocorre a cada 100 anos aproximadamente”, argumentou. O professor encerrou a palestra detalhando algumas práticas agronômicas que contribuem para conservação de água e dos solos e para aumentar a produtividade dos pomares.
De acordo com o presidente do Sindicato dos Produtores Rurais de Petrolina (SPR), Jailson Lira, que participou da mesa na abertura dos trabalhos, o encontro foi muito esclarecedor e rico de novas informações para a categoria e para o agronegócio regional. Também fizeram parte da mesa o gerente regional da UBYFOL, Danilo Ferreira e o presidente do DINC – Distrito de Irrigação Nilo Coelho, José Loyo.
