PRF divulga balanço da Operação São João em Pernambuco
A Polícia Rodoviária Federal (PRF) intensificou as ações de fiscalização e de policiamento nas rodovias federais de Pernambuco, entre os dias 23 a 27 de junho,
através da Operação São João 2021. A iniciativa teve como foco a redução da gravidade de acidentes e o enfrentamento ao crime, a partir do reforço na fiscalização em locais e horários com mais ocorrências criminais e de trânsito. Nesse período, foram registrados 49 acidentes, com 32 feridos e três mortes. No ano passado, não ocorreu uma operação específica para a data.
Um dos acidentes graves ocorreu na noite de quinta-feira (24), em Lajedo, no Agreste de Pernambuco. O motorista de um carro acessou a contramão da rodovia e colidiu de frente com um caminhão. O condutor do veículo de passeio faleceu no local e o motorista do veículo de carga não se machucou. O caminhoneiro realizou o teste do bafômetro e o resultado indicou que ele não havia consumido bebida alcoólica. Além da PRF, a Polícia Civil esteve no local e vai investigar o caso.
A movimentação de veículos na BR 232 foi intensa na quarta-feira e no domingo, tanto na saída para o interior como no retorno para a capital. Em cinco dias, foram abordados e fiscalizados 2.907 pessoas e 2.763 veículos, emitidos 2.932 autos de infração e registradas 68,9 toneladas de excesso de peso em veículos de carga. Entre as autuações, destacam-se 173 pelo não uso do cinto de segurança, 138 por ultrapassagens em local proibido, 70 pela falta do capacete, 53 pela ausência da cadeirinha e 17 por alcoolemia, com um condutor detido sob efeito de álcool.
Durante a operação, também foram recolhidos 251 veículos irregulares e 480 Certificados de Registro e Licenciamento de Veículo (CRLVs). Para prevenir acidentes, foram retirados 23 animais de grande porte que estavam soltos nas rodovias e prestado auxílio a 67 motoristas que tiveram problemas com o veículo.
As ações de combate ao crime buscaram proporcionar uma maior percepção de segurança a todos que utilizaram as rodovias federais, coibindo a prática de condutas criminosas. As abordagens resultaram em três veículos recuperados, 50 mil maços de cigarro paraguaio e 21 rebites apreendidos, além de 16 pessoas detidas por contrabando, uso de documento falso, porte de droga e adulteração de sinal identificador de veículo.
