A produção industrial pernambucana foi a que mais cresceu no País em 2020, mesmo com a pandemia. A alta de 3,7% em relação a 2019 foi puxada pelos setores de fabricação de produtos de borracha e de material plástico, de bebidas e de alimentos, já que esses itens passaram por um boom durante o isolamento social e também foram demandados em larga escala após a flexibilização da economia. Além de Pernambuco, apenas Rio de Janeiro (0,2%) e Goiás (0,1%) tiveram um desempenho positivo, segundo o IBGE.
“Se avaliarmos os dados isoladamente, vemos que essa alta de produtos oriundos do plástico aconteceu em razão do aumento da demanda de delivery e das vendas online, resultando numa elevação de 11,7%; do setor de alimentos (9,7%), que, considerado essencial, também foi bastante impulsionado pela safra do segundo semestre da cana-de-açúcar (responsável por mobilizar toda uma cadeia); e de bebidas (6,5%)”, avaliou o economista da Federação das Indústrias do Estado de Pernambuco (FIEPE), Cézar Andrade.
Na comparação com dezembro de 2019, Pernambuco também cresceu de forma expressiva, atingindo a marca de 8,3% impulsionado, principalmente, pelos setores de Fabricação de outros equipamentos de transporte (exceto veículos automotores), cuja alta foi de 125,3%, e pelo de Metalurgia, que marcou elevação de 10,2%. “Ambos influenciados pelo retorno do funcionamento do Estaleiro Atlântico Sul, que está, neste momento, com as atividades voltadas à manutenção de navios”, frisou Andrade. Também nesse mesmo intervalo o setor de Fabricação de produtos de borracha e de material plástico pontuou um bom desempenho, crescendo 20,4% em razão do crescimento das vendas online.
Já na passagem do mês de novembro para dezembro, Pernambuco retraiu 2,9%. Apesar do fechamento positivo do ano de 2020, essa retração mensal pode estar associada ao fato das indústrias realizarem estoques nos meses anteriores por conta da reabertura de alguns setores da economia. Se baseando nesse critério de comparação, Pernambuco pontuou menos que o Nordeste, que cresceu, de um mês para o outro, 0,2%, e também do Brasil, que obteve um aumento de 0,9%.
