A MAIS Consultoria Social, com sede no bairro da Várzea, no Recife, estará, no próximo dia 06 de dezembro, comemorando seus 10 anos de atuação institucional em evento na Coudelaria Souza Leão, que cede o espaço para a festa em parceria de responsabilidade social. A festa contará ainda com o lançamento da cartilha “Meu Ambiente: APA Aldeia-Beberibe”, publicação realizada juntamente com a Agência Estadual de Meio Ambiente (CPRH). O evento será reservado para convidados, entre eles, o Maestro Israel de França, violonista e regente da Sinfonietta de Granada, na Espanha. O Maestro pernambucano é padrinho institucional da MAIS.
Criada por um grupo de educadores sociais, a MAIS é uma Organização Não Governamental, sem fins lucrativos, fundada em 11 de outubro de 2008 com a finalidade de contribuir para o desenvolvimento humano e sustentável de pessoas em vulnerabilidade social, por meio de uma metodologia pautada na educação popular.
Segundo Erika Correia, fundadora e Diretora Executiva, “a MAIS foi um sonho de uma Assistente Social, que acreditou na possibilidade de um mundo melhor e na certeza de que não existem conquistas sem luta.”
A MAIS Social realiza consultoria, assessoria e gestão de serviços voltados ao desenvolvimento social sustentável, nas esferas pública, privada e do terceiro setor. Em 10 anos de atuação, milhares de jovens, crianças, adultos e idosos foram impactados nos mais de 6 Estados e 14 cidades em que houve atuação.
