Festival Nacional do Frevo anuncia selecionados para as eliminatórias
Do total de 350 inscritos, foram selecionados 24 frevos para as eliminatórias, que serão realizadas nos próximos dias 22 e 23 de novembro, no Teatro Apolo. Promovido pela Prefeitura do Recife, Festival distribuirá R$ 104 mil em prêmios
O frevo pernambucano, patrimônio cultural imaterial da humanidade, acaba de ganhar novos arranjos, vozes e refrões. A Prefeitura do Recife anunciou, hoje (10), os 24 candidatos selecionados para disputar as eliminatórias do Festival Nacional do Frevo, realização da Secretaria de Cultura e da Fundação de Cultura Cidade do Recife, para celebrar o gênero musical que é o mais fiel cartão-postal da cultura recifense.
O Festival recebeu um total de 350 inscrições, a imensa maioria de compositores e músicos pernambucanos. Mas também registrou a participação de artistas de vários estados do país, entre eles Rio Grande do Norte, Paraíba, Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo e Brasília.
Entre os compositores e intérpretes selecionados, as mulheres tiveram mais vez e voz. Foram classificadas três composições femininas (uma delas assinada por duas compositoras), contra uma única registrada na edição passada do Festival.
Compositores consagrados, como Jota Michiles e Getúlio Cavalcanti, também estão entre os selecionados para as eliminatórias, confirmando a importância da programação para a produção musical na cidade.
A categoria que registrou mais inscrições foi a de Frevo Canção, com 152 composições. Frevo de Bloco e Frevo de Rua contabilizaram 109 e 56 inscrições, respectivamente. A categoria Frevo Livre Instrumental – Autoral foi a que teve o maior crescimento na quantidade de inscritos em relação ao ano passado: foram 33 músicas em 2019, contra 17 em 2018.
A primeira eliminatória será realizada no próximo dia 22 de novembro, no Teatro Apolo, e reunirá os selecionados nas categorias Frevo Canção e Frevo de Bloco, cada uma com seis músicas. No dia 23 de novembro, também no Apolo, a segunda e última eliminatória contemplará as categorias Frevo de Rua e Frevo Livre Instrumental – Autoral, de novo com seis músicas de cada.
Em cada uma dessas eliminatórias, serão selecionadas 3 finalistas de cada categoria para a grande final do Festival Nacional do Frevo 2019, que contará com 12 canções e acontecerá no dia 7 de dezembro, no Teatro Luiz Mendonça.
Premiação – O Festival Nacional do Frevo vai distribuir R$ 104 mil entre os vencedores, para garantir que os clarins possam se renovar e perpetuar tradição viva e vivida ao longo de todo o ano na capital pernambucana.
Os prêmios serão de R$ 10 mil para os primeiros colocados nas quatro categorias; R$ 8 mil para os segundos; e R$ 6 mil para os terceiros colocados.
Haverá premiação ainda para o melhor arranjo, no valor de R$ 5 mil, e para o melhor intérprete do Festival, no valor de R$ 3 mil.
