Estudante do SESI-PE ganha medalha de prata na Olimpíada Nacional de Ciências
A pernambucana Maria Clara Aguiar, de 16 anos, conquistou a medalha de prata na Olímpiada Nacional de Ciências (ONC). A aluna do 3º ano do SESI Paulista competiu com estudantes do Ensino Médio e do 9º ano do Ensino Fundamental de todo país. Em sua 4ª edição, a ONC contou com cerca de 1 milhão de participantes.
Com o objetivo de estimular o ingresso dos jovens nas áreas científicas e tecnológicas, a ONC foi constituída de duas fases e testou os conhecimentos dos jovens em biologia, física, astronomia e química. A primeira etapa foi realizada entre os dias 15 e 17 de agosto e a segunda avaliação em 21 de setembro.
Aluna do SESI desde 2017, Maria Clara soube da ONC por uma docente da escola. “Fui encorajada a fazer o exame pela professora de biologia Paula Borba e não imaginava que fosse passar. Depois que recebi a notícia que estava classificada para a segunda fase, comecei a me preparar mais, resolvendo a prova do ano anterior e revisando os assuntos que eu tinha dificuldade”, contou.
O resultado expressivo foi recebido com surpresa e gerou autoconfiança na estudante, que já havia participado de campeonatos de química e astronomia. “A experiência de participar e conquistar a medalha foi muito boa, porque eu nunca tinha participado de uma olimpíada de ciências. Foi interessante entender como é o estilo da prova e me sentir capaz”, comentou. A cerimônia de premiação para os melhores colocados acontecerá no dia 28 de novembro, às 18h, em São Paulo.
A ONC é um projeto do Ministério da Ciência, Tecnologia e Inovação através do programa “Ciência na Escola” e constitui um programa da Sociedade Brasileira de Física, Associação Brasileira de Química, Instituto Butantan e Sociedade Astronômica Brasileira. O campeonato busca descobrir novos talentos e aproximar os jovens de entidades de pesquisa e ensino superior.
