Drive-thru em Jaboatão recolhe medicamentos vencidos e recipientes de antibióticos
Ação será realizada dia 20 de janeiro, em alusão ao Dia Nacional do Farmacêutico
O curso de Farmácia do Centro Universitário dos Guararapes (UNIFG) irá promover, em parceria com a Farmácia Caxangá, um drive-thru para recolher medicamentos vencidos e recipientes de antibióticos. A ação, que faz alusão ao Dia Nacional do Farmacêutico, comemorado no dia 20 de janeiro, ocorrerá na mesma data, no campus Piedade, das 10h às 12h e das 14h às 17h. O evento é aberto para toda a sociedade.
“O farmacêutico é o profissional responsável desde a produção do medicamento até o uso racional pelo paciente, através da assistência farmacêutica e passando pela educação em saúde. Portanto, a importância do drive thru é para conscientização populacional sobre os riscos ao meio ambiente e à saúde pública do descarte incorreto de medicamentos”, explica a coordenadora do curso de Farmácia da UNIFG, Miria Barbosa. “Como estamos tratando de princípios ativos, precisamos ter esse cuidado no descarte do remédio”, acrescenta.
Miria também destaca que todos os medicamentos precisam ser bem avaliados quanto ao prazo de validade. “Desde a sua descoberta, até ser colocado no mercado, o medicamento passa por vários testes, dentre eles o de estabilidade e eficácia. Existe uma data limite, na qual a droga tem uma estabilidade para qualquer formulação. A partir dessa data, o medicamento pode ser não estável por diversos fatores, como químico, e por causa disso, ele pode colocar em risco sua eficácia”, explica.
