COMPESA AMPLIA OFERTA DE ÁGUA PARA A REGIÃO METROPOLITANA DO RECIFE, REDUZINDO O RODÍZIO PARA MAIS DE 430 MIL PESSOAS
O volume de chuva registrado na Região Metropolitana do Recife, no último fim de semana, trouxe expectativas positivas para a Compesa e boas notícias para a população. Após análises técnicas de acompanhamento dos níveis das barragens e projeções futuras, a Companhia anuncia a ampliação da oferta de água a partir do Sistema Pirapama, cuja barragem está localizada no Cabo de Santo Agostinho. O Sistema, que hoje opera com uma vazão de 4.500 litros por segundo, passará para 5.000 litros por segundo, o que significa mais água nas torneiras para 430 mil pessoas de bairros do Cabo de Santo Agostinho, de Jaboatão dos Guararapes e do Recife. A barragem de Pirapama conseguiu elevar o seu nível de acumulação de 25,82% (na sexta, dia 09/04) para os atuais 55,48%.
A partir da próxima segunda-feira (19), começa a valer o novo calendário de abastecimento, tendo áreas com eliminação do rodízio e outras com redução. Jaboatão dos Guararapes, que enfrentava o rodízio mais rígido da RMR, recebe boas notícias. Os bairros de Piedade, Cajueiro Seco, Barra de Jangada e Cadeias, que eram abastecidos, em média, no esquema de 30 horas com e 24 horas sem água, serão beneficiados com água todos os dias. Já Muribeca sairá de 12h x 84h para 6h x 42h e parte do bairro Vila Rica, que estava 1 dia com x 20 dias sem, passará para 1 dia com x 10 sem.
Já no Cabo de Santo Agostinho, locais como Ponte dos Carvalhos, Pontezinha, Praia do Paiva, Alto do Cruzeiro e Vila Pirapama terão o rodízio eliminado, voltando a receber água todos os dias. Antes a média era de 36 horas com água e 36 horas sem. Além disso, haverá melhorias de pressão nas redes, o que significa a chegada da água mais forte na casa das pessoas, nas localidades de Garapú, Cohab e o Distrito Industrial da PE-60.
Recife não ficou de fora e também teve áreas que passarão a receber mais água. Os bairros de San Martin, Mangueira e Jiquiá, que eram atendidos 1 dia com x 5 dias sem, agora receberão água no esquema de 20h com x 28h sem. Por fim, os bairros de Ipsep, Afogados e Imbiribeira terão água nas torneiras 4,5 dias com para 12 horas sem (antes era 2,5 dias com para 12 horas sem).
“O acumulado das últimas chuvas permitiu uma resposta rápida da Compesa que, com toda segurança e responsabilidade, ampliará a oferta de água por meio do Sistema Pirapama, a partir da retirada de mais água da barragem. Vale destacar que a quadra chuvosa está apenas começando e nossa expectativa é que as chuvas deste inverno permitam, de fato, a recuperação dos principais reservatórios da RMR, e das demais regiões do Estado, para que possamos, tão logo seja viável, anunciar novas reduções de rodízio em cada vez mais regiões”, destaca a presidente da Compesa, Manuela Marinho.
Além do anúncio de Pirapama, o volume acumulado nas principais barragens da RMR permitirá à Compesa operar com maior confiabilidade os seus sistemas integrados de abastecimento e, ainda, preservar tais mananciais. “As chuvas recentes trouxeram boas perspectivas. Isso proporciona maior segurança hídrica aos nossos mananciais, garantindo, assim, o cumprimento do calendário vigente e um abastecimento contínuo e com boas pressões na rede, atendendo melhor a população”, afirma.
NÍVEIS DOS MANANCIAIS – A barragem de Duas Unas, localizada em Jaboatão dos Guararapes, e que pertence ao Sistema Integrado Tapacurá, também teve um bom acúmulo de água e agora atingiu 35,43%. Por outro lado, a mesma proporção de recuperação não foi observada na barragem de Tapacurá, situada em São Lourenço da Mata, que passou de 27.43% para 29,46%. A barragem de Várzea do Una, que fica em São Lourenço da Mata, que estava praticamente em colapso com apenas 5,84%, teve uma elevação de nível para 16,67%. Outra barragem que estava em uma fase bem crítica, Botafogo, localizada em Igarassu, está hoje com 13,81%, uma boa recuperação quando comparado com o nível do manancial anteriormente que era de 4,35%.
